The Freedom FEASTival is back for 2018 and we need your help to ensure that we sow, grow and cook up a FEAST to remember.
Working in partnership with The Freedom Festival, TimeBank Hull and East Riding and Artlink we are excited to be creating the Freedom FEASTival for the second year (which is Hull Harvest Feastival’s 4th year of creating a feast in the city centre) alongside multiple community groups and growers across the city and into East Riding. The Freedom FEASTival and has emerged as an enduring long-lasting programme rooted in a broader discussion around food equity, empowerment and community cohesion and we are delighted to be collaborating with the Hull Food Partnership’s Sustainable Food Cities Programme. .
With a large serving of theatrics to go alongside this spectacular homegrown feast which will see over 1500 people participate, the Freedom FEASTival 2018, which will take place on the 2nd September is set to be a feast to remember.
We’re seeking enthusiastic volunteers to fulfill a number of roles and join us in co-producing this wonderful event! No need to wait until September – you can apply TODAY!
At the heart of the Freedom FEASTival is the ambition to bring together people from all backgrounds and situations to create something amazing, with a legacy that extends beyond the day. Whether you’re a keen cook, an avid gardener or someone who simply wants to contribute towards the incredible transformation taking place across Hull, your input will help make this project and the annual Freedom Festival an event to remember for all involved.
